Jason and Kyla are getting married.......{Fargo/Moorhead Engagement Photographer}

Jason and Kyla. What more can I say about these two that these pictures can't? Have yourself a look.

I love how these photos captured the beautiful truth within this couple. These two are truly beautiful inside and out. Their love is so much fun to watch. I was on a roller coaster of laughing and tearing up with emotion the entire session! They probably thought I was crazy but I just adore how he makes her smile. See......

And this is the cutest. They had matching cookie monster dudes growing up. And what else says "we were made for each other"
than matching cookie monster dudes?

I love it. All of it!

Thank you, Jason and Kyla. You put the fun in Love!

The Dog House

This lovely couple came to me for an engagement session.

And we did some engagement stuff. You know, embrace one another, turn a little this way, turn a little that way.... click.

And that was great. Aren't they cute!

But then...because it was a balmy 38degrees that day...we went outside.

Naturally, a snowball fight ensued. These were bar none, my favorite photos of the session!

He winds up....

He releases!!!

And not only did he pelt her with the snow, he rubs it in to boot!

So...what choice does a man have after he has douced his fiance with ice-cold snow?

Of course, he must turn up the heat and beg for forgiveness.

Nothing that a romantic walk can't fix.

So...do you think he made it out of the dog-house folks?

You decide.....

Hope

This lovely gal is one of my co-workers/friend from my other career as a Family Therapist. Anna and I work with children and their families suffering from a wide variety of life's struggles. We hear about heartbreak and loss and tragedy on a regular basis. We hear about all the things that tear families apart. It can be a grueling and daunting job at times. But....we don't focus on those things. Because we would not last for a second in our line of work if we did. Instead, we focus on HOPE! And that is what I love so much about working with families! Because if you can take a dire situation and sprinkle just a little bit of HOPE, you can watch miracles happen. Small miracles. But they happen. And you begin to see triumph over tragedy. And with each little triumph the family gets stronger and stronger. And HOPE becomes bigger and bigger. It doesn't happen every day in our line of work. Not even close. But when it happens. It is amazing. And it keeps people like me and my dear friend Anna coming back for more.

For me, photography has become an natural extension of my passion for helping families. I absolutely enjoy capturing the pure, natural moments that exist between the members of a family, a couple, or a mom and her newborn. Of course it's nice to get the good ole' lookin at the camera cheese shot but those don't do it for me quite like the shot they didn't know you got.

Thanks for a great photoshoot Anna and Seth! And thanks for dancing in the rain!

Genuine

I had a great time shooting these two. They are such a sweet couple! I know this not only because I took their pictures, but because they are dear friends of ours. There are so many things I cherish about our friendship with them. But one of the things I really love about them is how genuinely caring, warm and giving they are. Not just during the holiday season, but all year long.

In Love with Love

I just love love. It's so fun and flirty and cute. One of the reasons I love photographing engagements is because there is just a certain "giddy-ness" in the air. Check out these two adorable people in love in lovely downtown Fargo.
